EVENT: Hamazkayin of New York Presents: The Hidden Armenians in Turkey
Linguist Yervant Manok, arriving from Paris, will lecture on the pockets of Armenian population still remaining in the Western Armenian provinces now in Turkey, including the Hamshen Armenians and those who remained behind after the Genocide, Islamizing or mingling with Kurds and Turks while secretly preserving their identity.
Dr. Manok teaches in the summer program of Language and Armenian Civilization at the University of Venice.
The lecture will be in Armenian.

Wishlist of Armenian communities:
The Parish Council of the Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs has issued a Wish List by means of which they appeal to the community for help.

The following repairs or needs are presentated for your consideration: please call the church office or speak to any Parish Council member if you can provide your assistance.
Here is the wishlist:
- School boiler pipes need replacement ==> $700.00
- Church front steps need regrouting and broken risers need replacing => $3,000.00+
-School roof slates need to be replaced => $2,200.00
- Church carpeting needs replacement => $14,000.00
- Church chandeliers need new LED light bulbs => $6,000 (10yr guarantee)
