It's chilling to see Akhtamar in full bloom, as I cannot help remember what happened in Asia Minor spring of 1915, 98 years ago, the cruelty and inhumanity towards the indigenous inhabitants of the area... RIP - This is what those who perished during genocide saw before they died... during forced uprooting, mass murder, long marches to the deserts of Iraq and Syria, pushed over cliffs and unbearable torture ...
If only those Armenian churches and walls could talk ...
