The Drawer Boy is the story of Morgan and Angus - farmers, life-long friends and World War II veterans. Their lives are comically disrupted when Miles, a city-bred actor, comes to stay with them to research their lives for a play. As the play takes shape, secrets are lifted and long-hidden truths are revealed. Thus begins a journey filled with humor and overwhelming tenderness. Revealed are the true meanings of friendship and the transformative power of art.

"This is brilliant work"

"Rather than taking our local theaters to task for overlooking it, I prefer to thank the Oberon Theatre Ensemble for finally bringing us this satisfying and moving play".

“We should thank Alexander Dinelaris for directing with his heart as well as his skills because something off center wonderful like this show doesn’t just happen. It’s a gem example of the best in collaborative art effort.”
