The Armenian American Night 2014 took place on Sunday July 13, 2014. The concert was held at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, Eisenhower Park in Long Island.
Introductions were made by Edward P. Mangano, Nassau Country Executive and Keith Taylor of Canon, USA, the major sponsor of the event.
Mistress of Ceremonies was Lana Kazangian. The American and Armenian national anthems were sung by Christina Haroutunian.
There were few obstacles in the way, however everything ended up going so well. One of the main obstacles was the weather. We were so happy to have instead a beautiful breeze, helping those who came to enjoy wonderful Armenian concert in great comfort. The other major obstacle was the World Cup, between Argentina and Germany. As if the weather and sports obstacles weren't enough, there was death of the Hye Bar chairman's father passed away and the wake was at 7:00 pm at the Armenian church of the Holy Martyrs. Therefore the Hye Bar dance group of the Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs didn't perform. Yes, there was yet another obstacle, few days before the concert, lovely Christina Haroutunian had sore throat. We were so happy that she was able to make it to the concert and was amazing as always. She hit those very difficult high notes with great ease!
We were so happy International Armenian singer Robert Chilingirian, as well as the talented ArminString saved the day.
Here is sampling of wonderful moments captured in video and photos. Next year it will be the a very special one, as it is the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.

Special moments from the concert:
It was wonderful to see among the attendees, Armenian singer Karno and his father, who had just arrived Friday all the way from the Middle East. Thanks to Levon Antreasyan and his family's hospitality and efforts, they were safe and sound now in New York. Karno and his father are from Aleppo, Syria and thank God they were able to escape the hellish situation that has gripped all of Syria. Let's hoe the New York Armenian community would have soon the opportunity to enjoy Karno's talent.
And here is Armenian International singer Robert Chilingirian - an amazing concert indeed. The next day he was headed to Asia to perform.
