JUNE 10 - in Woodside, NY at 8pm:
Documentary screening on the Armenian Genocide. In post-centennial period we should more reflect on expressing our gratitude to all those who were standing with our nation in the darkest page of the Armenian history. MAP OF SALVATION” is a documentary film about the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
It is about the work and the life of five European Missionaries that eye witnessed the Armenian Genocide in 1915 and saved thousands and thousands of Armenian orphan children’s lives during and after the Armenian Genocide. They are five European, humanist women: Maria Jakobsen (Denmark), Karen Eppe (Denmark), Bodil Bjorn (Norway), Alma Johansson (Sweden), Hedwig Bul (Estonia). Their extremely dramatic encounter with a tormented people unknown to them was fatal for these great humanists. And they left their comfortable lives in Europe, came to the Armenian land from different countries, and devoted themselves selflessly and unconditionally to the people residing on that land. Organized by ANC of NY, St. Illuminator's cathedral, ARS and Hamazkayin NY.
Admission: $ 20
Refreshments will be served Map of Salvation documentary screening
