SEPTEMBER 16 and 17 - Church of Holy Ascension in Trumbul, CT:
EVENT-FILLED WEEKEND WITH HIS EMINENCE AT ARMENIAN CHURCH OF THE HOLY ASCENSION
His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, the Primate of the Eastern Diocese, will visit Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension in Trumbull the weekend of September 16-17, 2017.
On Saturday evening, 9/16 6:00 p.m. His Eminence will preside at a special requiem service, for all whose memory the new sanctuary windows were donated. Following the requiem service there is a buffet-style dinner in the church hall and everyone will have the opportunity to hear the Archbishop and also ask Diocese/Church-related questions. There is no charge for the buffet. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with His Eminence!
On Sunday morning, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian will be the celebrant and the preacher: Fr. Karekin will also be on the altar with our Fr. Untzag!: Badarak begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. Try your best to be on time for the procession and share of the joy in the ordinations which will also take place near the beginning of badarak.
Ordination of Scott Paklaian, Andy Daquesian, Peter and John Kuroghlian to the rank of Tbir and ordination of Garo Kapikian to the rank of Subdeacon. Arrive early also to get your free gift from Armenia! A keepsake you will treasure.
The annual church picnic / festival begins after the conclusion of Badarak and Srpazan Hayr will also stay and enjoy the afternoon with everyone. Dance to Armenian music and enjoy kebab dinners. Entertainment for the kids
