Just over a century ago, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile and Uruguay saved from death thousands of Eastern Christians who managed to escape the massacres organized by the Turks. More recently, Spain has become a host country for Armenians and Assyrians fleeing the difficult conditions in Latin America.
